Kids Programs

Wednesdays – The Next Chapter 3:30pm to 4:30pm
September through May

The Next Chapter is an afterschool program that incorporates STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) into an enjoyable learning experience. Each week we discover new books which accompany a fun project. We work with 3D printers, create slime, mold clay and build robots. This program is for ages 7 to 15 and free however, registration is required.  

Tuesdays & Thursdays – Reading Buddies
3:30pm to 4:30pm
September through May

Reading Buddies is an afterschool program which offers a safe and supervised environment where participants ages 6 to 13 can obtain help with reading and homework. Children also learn how to use the library’s resources and gain valuable research skills through participation. Volunteers and staff are able to assist in both French and English. The program runs for 1 hour. 45 minutes for reading and instruction and 15 minutes for a group activity. A snack is also provided. This program is free, however registration is required.
