1827, London: Charlotte’s quiet life explodes after one forbidden moment. Cast out and captivated by a mysterious widow, she discovers freedom comes at a steep cost.

Let Them Stare
Emmy winner Jonathan Van Ness and #1 New York Times bestseller Julie Murphy comes a fabulous, bighearted story about small towns, big dreams, and ghostly drag queens.
Sully is ready to ditch Hearst, PA for a From fashion internship and city life. But when the dream falls apart, they’re stuck—no car, no cash, and no clue what’s next.
Enter: a thrifted vintage purse, a flirty maybe-friend (hi, Brad), and the ghost of Rufus, a 1950s drag queen with unfinished business and zero chill.
Now Sully’s summer plan is:
- Help Rufus move on.
- Cash in that purse.
- Maybe fall in love?
- Appreciate their hometown…?
Funny, fierce, and full of heart—this is a ghost story with glam.

One Dark Kiss
Rebecca Zanetti’s dark, modern twist on Snow White turns up the heat in this steamy billionaire revenge romance—where power, passion, and betrayal collide.
ALEXEI: Seven years in prison forged me into something harder, darker. Now I’m free, and nothing will stop my revenge—not even the sexy new lawyer who might be my enemy… or my obsession.
ROSALIE: Taking Alexei’s case was supposed to be a career move, not a life-altering detour. But he’s dangerous, magnetic, and impossible to resist. I won his freedom—now I might lose everything.
As Alexei claws his way back to the empire that betrayed him, sparks fly, secrets unravel, and enemies close in. If we can’t outplay them, **he’ll burn it all down—**and take me with him.
Sin never looked so seductive.
Halfway Through 2025 – A Look at Your Library in Action
As we hit the halfway mark of 2025, we’re excited to share just how much our community has been using and enjoying the Cochrane Public Library!
So far this year, over 12,000 in-person visits have brought life to our space, whether it’s for books, programs, or just a quiet place to relax. Our collection has been busy too — with 7,828 printed books and 3,234 digital items checked out through Libby, reading is clearly alive and well in Cochrane.
We’ve welcomed 123 new members, added 784 new books to our shelves, and hosted 95 programs with a combined attendance of 1,071 — from story times to community workshops, every event strengthens our connection to you.
And don’t forget our Art Gallery! We’ve proudly hosted two new exhibitions, showcasing local creativity and giving people a place to gather and be inspired.
Thank you for making the first half of the year so vibrant — we can’t wait to see what the rest of 2025 brings!
